Ganiev Dictionary

The dictionary has to find entries quickly offline without taking up too much room on the phone. Half the work went into how the data itself is packed.

We built the app with Expo and React Native, put the dictionary into SQLite, and set up builds for the stores.

We did not load the dictionary up with extras. Search, the entry itself and reliable offline behaviour stayed at the centre.

The database, the fonts and the bundled assets got their own attention, so the app opens quickly and installs cleanly on ordinary phones.
